Camp Presentation
Around two weeks ago my class and the one next to us went off to the farm. We started planning our trip earlier in the year and we did lots of fundraisers. Eventually, the hard work paid off and we had fund-raised enough money for the fees.
I really enjoyed doing horse riding because I haven't been riding on a horse in years.
I was not happy when I had a shower but I still smelt like the mud from the mud run.
Next time I would go on the water-slide a bit more because I only went on a few times.
Have you ever been to the farm?

WALT: Create a Manaiakalani movie about pepehas.
Over the past 2 months our movie team has been creating a mini movie about our pepehas. It was a hard process to complete but we eventually finished it. Some of the things we had to do were writing scripts, filming on the right angle and working as a team. The hardest thing was when we had to refilm scenes a lot.
Next time I would be a director instead because the acting was very hard. I also would refilm some of the scenes in different places.
Have you ever filmed a movie?

Wacky Animals Report
LI: to merge two animals together to create a new wacky animal that is represented by the combined characteristics of both the individual animals.
How did I do it? I researched information about pugs and eagles and then put the research into my own words on my wacky animal slide. Also I added a bit of creativity by customising what my animal eats and where it lives.
Reflection: For the past two weeks we had been given the task to create a report about one of the wacky animals on the google slide our teacher shared with us to write the report.
I liked writing about the wacky animal that I chose.
Next time I would choose a different wacky animal to write about.

Question for audience: Can you create your own wacky animal?
Tuia 250 Animation
LI: to present an animation that shows our new learning about the different perspectives of Mฤori and Europeans first encounters 250 years ago.
How did I do it? I used lots of google slides to make the story seem animated .
Reflection: Over the past month we have been learning about Tuia 250 and what happened 250 years ago. My teacher Whaea Dom gave my class the challenge to create a Tuia 250 animation about what happened.
I enjoyed adding in custom stuff to make my slide different
Next time I would make it the original story about Captain Cook.
Question for audience: Have you ever heard of Tuia 250?

Movie Review
WALT: Write a movie review๐
Last week Whaea Donna gave us the task to write a movie review about the Manaiakalani movies that St Point England School made.
I enjoyed watching the kids films because they were all different and really enjoyable.
I was challenged by writing down the speech, dialogue, sound effects and music because it was hard to it all.
Next time I would replay the movies again before I write so I will remember what happened.
Have you ever made a mini movie before?๐

My Tiny House Project
WALT:๐ Design and measure accurately to create our Tiny House.
Over the past few weeks, Whaea Dom has given us the task to make a tiny house. We started off using paper with a grid on it and we also got given a list of stuff to draw on it then colour in. Once we were done with the colouring we had to glue the wall template to some black card and then fold it. We also had to glue the base to a piece of cardboard.
Reflection:
I enjoyed colouring in all the furniture that I drew.
I dreaded taping the walls together because they kept falling apart.
I found measuring my tiny house hard because the little lines on the ruler were really hard to see.
Next time I would use longer strips of tape to put on my walls.
Have you ever seen a tiny house before??๐๐

Chromebook Comic Strip
WALT: Make a comic strip about holding your device correctly
We made this comic strip using the camera and google draw.
We made this to learn and show others how to use our chrome-books in the correct way.
Reflection:
I enjoyed adding in speech bubbles to my photos because when people look at the photo to try see what I am doing, I have written what I'm doing in so it will be easier for others to know.
I liked how my colourful background look with the photos I took.
I was challenged by trying to get the photo to be perfect even though none of them really were.
Next time I would try taking the photos where there is barely any people because as you can see in the photos there were a lot of people in the background.
Have you ever held a chrome-book the incorrect way?
Learning Pathways
WALT: create a pathway for our future.
Whaea Sue gave us a template to complete and write in our goals, dreams and aspirations .
This template was to make us a pathway and think about our future.
Reflection:
I enjoyed writing about my dreams and goals, like becoming a sports star and getting a degree in university. I am going to need to work really hard to achieve my goals and dreams.
I liked thinking about what goals I was going to set and try achieve.
I was challenged by trying to think about what my blocks and enablers are.
Next time I would add a few more goals that I want to try achieve.
