Blog hop activity- writing

Walt: Choose one of the blog hop activities and create a post about it.

A few days ago our teacher got us to go onto a slide full of activities and got us to choose one to create a blog post about. I decided to do the writing one, ( sorry if its not 100 words like it says )    :).
Next time I would maybe pick a different picture to write about.  I'd also like to make my writing more descriptive.

My pepeha

Walt: Write your pepeha and voice record it on screen castify .

 Last week our teacher gave us the task to write our Pepeha and afterwards screen record it to put on our blogs. I found it hard to screen record because my friends were trying to make me laugh when I was saying it. I enjoyed it though because I forgot most of my Pepeha but now I fully remember it. Next time I would ask my parents what my other Pepeha is based of my other iwi.

Procedural writing

WALT: write an effective procedure to explain how to make an origami. Last week my teacher told my class to make a procedural writing based on our origamis that we made. It was quite challenging to make it because I'm not very good at origamis but it was even harder to follow someone elses. Next time I'd make the steps more clear so my partner could find it easier to make. Do you like origamis?

Refugee animation

WALT: Create an animation based off the life of a refugee
Over this past term my teacher has been reading my class a book with 3 refugee perspectives. After we finished it we were given tasks on a google slide and one of them was to make a refugee animation.
I enjoyed the fact that I got to be very creative and able to make my own kind of story about refugees.
Next time I would change the locations of where the refugees are in and maybe make my animation about a whole refugee family.

Staying Covid 19 safe

Walt: Create a resource to remind our peers how to keep themselves and others safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Because of the Corona virus Pandemic, my teacher got me and my classmates to make a google slide about how to keep yourself and others safe.  I had a lot of fun making this because I had lots of ideas and reasons on how we can keep safe. I liked that I got to customise my slide and I disliked that we did it in pairs because I would have preferred to do it on my own.

Covid 19 Time Capsule

WALT: Explain to our class what we did and how we felt during lock down✌

Last week before we came back to school our teacher got us to make a time capsule on google slides. It is about what we did and how we felt during lock down. I had a lot of fun making this because I got to put in all my thoughts and experiences and I got to put in nice backgrounds and images. Next time I would probably add photos of myself doing things in lockdown.

Happiness Poem

WALT:  Write a sense poem about an emotion
I had a lot of fun writing this poem because I got to use lots of description in my sentences.
I think I did good at the layout and organisation of my poem because it looked really cool.
Next time I would choose a different emotion to write about.
